i guess it's never going away: daytime carryovers of jw-related stuff seeping into my dreams.. the majority of these dreams take place at conventions but with really weird trappings.
last night i dreamed i arrived at the site with no books, no lunch, nothing but my car keys.
I have concentration camp dreams related to the terror I had of being arrested and facing the "loyalty test". I have vivid memories of sitting on the floor as a young child at meetings hearing scenarios being discussed.
I hadn't had one for a while but then bang - new years day I woke up and that was the first thing I remembered.
I know of an ex JW on the West Coast of Scotland who's on this board. Lives in the Oban area.
i think it is inevitable.
i don't worry about it but it just seems that the human race is going down a road that they can't make a turn off.. they are probing/discovering how the human mind works and produces intelligence down to the individual molecule.
now with the invention of the super quantum computer soon we will be able to build even better artificial intelligence greater than our own, so it will be easily able to out smart us because will we be a bunch of dumb apes first discovering how to make fire in it's eyes.. it will have it's own different agendas than us humans.

my spies tell me that the attendance for hellaby this last sunday was only 600.. that's all i know.
i imagine some on here have perhaps some more insights into why.

I remember working on that when it was being built.
i'm an active elder, cobe, just got home from the meeting where i handled the treasures part and concluded by announcing a friend of mine has been d/f,.....blah blah blah...and over the last year have woken up.
i simply cannot spill my guts to my wife and children as it would be family suicide.
i have zero desire to bash, spread my feelings, or become an "apostate".

when discussing the watchtowers financial problems, i've generally been of the opinion that they probably are not in a real financial crisis.
i've come to believe that money may be something of an issue, but its wrapped up in a much larger problem.
this came to me this morning when reading about the annual meeting.. i think the society's leadership is just plain out of ideas.
When I first came to this site the likes of Blondie, Leolaia and Richie Rich were doing weekly Watchtower reviews. There's nothing to get your teeth into anymore worthy of anyone's time.
i regularly check in to see what's happening but i'm not here like i used to be.. are you here every day?
